[ Her stay in Fontaine has been nothing short of magical, a trip that feels like a dream come true now that the Sakoku Decree is over. From the crystal clear ocean that spans miles on end to the innovative technology, the Hydro Nation has some of the most beautiful sights she's ever laid eyes on. Joining the Kamisato siblings on their vacation was one of the best decisions she's ever made, all the memories she made will forever be engraved in her heart, and she's so thankful Ayaka invited her along for the trip. The Fontinalia Film Festival was positively exciting from start to finish, she still can't believe she got to help film a movie, an ACTUAL movie! So cool!!! One thing's for certain, there will not be a shortage of stories for this chatterbox to tell once she's back home in Inazuma.
Even though the film festival has drawn to a close, there are still plenty of locations to visit before her time in Fontaine is up. The Opera Epiclese, Poisson, the Weeping Willow of the Lake, and the entire ocean... she might not have the chance to see everything but by gosh that won't stop her. It's a rarity for her to travel outside of Inazuma so she's bound and determined to take every advantage of the duration of her stay.
After enjoying a light breakfast with Ayaka at Café Lutece, she parts ways with her friend so she can spend some much-needed quality time with her brother. Luckily for Yoimiya, the shops lining the streets of Fontaine are first on her agenda, it'd practically be a crime to leave without purchasing souvenirs, she can already picture the disappointed looks on the children's faces if she returned empty-handed. While still munching on her crepe, she strides to the marketplace in search of gifts for her parents, Iwao, Saika, Matsuzaku, and prizes for duels against the Arataki gang. As she's in the middle of oohing and ahhing at a clockwork meka building block set, a familiar tuft of ginger hair draws her attention away from the toy, forcing her to do a double-take. No way. Could that really be...?
At first, Yoimiya swears she's hallucinating, the world of Teyvat is vast and it'd be a crazy coincidence to run into her favorite Harbinger during her vacation. She blinks and even slaps her cheeks to ensure she's not losing her mind but the longer she stares at him, those blue eyes as deep as Fontaine's ocean, and that red mask that dons the side of his head, she's assured that it's most definitely Tartaglia. Mindlessly, she purchases the toy and practically makes a bee-line over to his direction, unaware of how excited she truly is. ]
Yoo-hoo~! Tartaglia!
[ She greets him with a smile as warm as the sun itself, not caring in the slightest if passersby give her funny looks for being so loud. It's been so long since she last saw this man in person and Yoimiya isn't about to let this opportunity go to waste. Despite that they've exchanged a few letters here and there after his departure from Inazuma, it's not the same, and every so often, she catches herself wondering about him and imagining all the crazy adventures he surely gets into. ]
Fancy meeting you here in Fontaine of all places! How have you been?

playing the hero....it didn't suit him no matter how much he hates to admit it. tries to tell himself. tartaglia's always had those sort of struggles on his mind, the fact anyone could call him that for almost killing himself doing something that insane is foreign and in the end, he likes it. originally tartaglia was supposed to be on his way back home, off in the care of beloved siblings who would be quite worried. his mother and father included. however, that did not work out the way that they had intended whenever not only did he sneak out of the carriage, but tartaglia found himself instead under the care of arlecchino and her organization. by now he's not looking like death, drained and gaunt. like something sucked the life out from his body.
downtime was forced on tartaglia as a means of ensuring that the lowest ranked harbinger had time to recover in full. cosmic world destroyers are not quite on their list of things to deal with and half the time it was politics. politics being the part tartaglia never was invested in whenever he found himself wandering the marketplace this time. the harbinger in question had been given more light duties to help ease back into moving after being on bed rest.
that and from a small concern that the elixirs tartaglia had been fed could have unintended effects no matter how meticulous that child was. he hadn't even been paying attention while thoughts were around of him picking up gifts for his little siblings. teucer would love the meka toys he's been seeing around now that he had time to properly look around. and not just challenge clorinde to a duel, mind you.
he hadn't even noticed at first the familiar voice calling out to him loudly before he realizes, he knows that voice and that energetic tone. yoimiya? oh, that was right. tartaglia did respond to her last letter before his arrival in fontaine; there was no mention that he'd be there but one can say the harbinger is surprised to see her. not in a bad way from how he smiles. he did find himself thinking about her lately and seeing if it were possible to visit inazuma for a time before he was back on duty.)
Yoimiya! I was here actually as part of my duties, let's just say that my tendency to get in trouble still was a thing, shall we~? I've been doing better!
(it's a pity tartaglia had to miss the film festival. teucer would have loved that if tartaglia could have gotten his hands on something or other for his enjoyment.)
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT 😭 i'm so mad at dw KICKS IT
It's been a little while since she's last heard from him, no doubt his duties in Fontaine have played a part in that. She'll never fault him for being busy, it's hard how tight his schedule must be from his Harbinger obligations, and traveling to every corner of Teyvat, she just hopes he still has plenty of time to spend with his family.
However, there's definitely no denying she's thrilled to not only run into him in person but also to see him doing well. His job is fraught with danger, and even though she knows this man is more than capable of handling anything
even world-devouring whalesthrown his way, she still can't help but wonder about his wellbeing. And seeing his smile in the flesh is the confirmation that she needs. ]
Oh? Look at you being a whirlwind of chaos. Hehe, I sure hope it was the fun kind of trouble!
[ She says with a laugh. Yoimiya might not be an all-mighty Harbinger but this country has a bit of a penchant for trouble herself. ]
Have you had a chance to enjoy yourself in Fontaine at all? Or is your job working you to the bone?
[ Of course, she dare not say his allegiances out loud. ]
