[ Getting to spend time with Fai is always a treat. Food dates are forever a weakness of hers and the prospect of trying new dishes and hitting up the city with one of her favorite companions filled her with excitement. There's nothing in the world that could ruin their lunch date!

That is until the sky starts to darken. One pesky raindrop suddenly turns into a hard hitting shower and now it's pouring down like crazy. ]

Why did it have to start raining?!

[ As soon as they were able to make it to an awning, Beatrix lets out a long, overly exaggerated sigh and hangs her head in defeat. ]

I could have sworn the weather report said nothing about rain today. Ugh, I'm so sorry that you got wet, Fai...

[ What probably happened was the weather forecast did say that there's a slight chance of rain but she blew it off like always. ]

Don't worry about me, Bea. I'd rather get wet than you anyhow.

[ He smiles, giving her a onceover to see if she's actually completely dry or not. This is a date, so he feels like it's his obligation to make sure she stays comfortable. ]

Sheesh, when you say it like that it makes me even more worried about you.

[ Fai never fails to be incredibly sweet. Color flushes her face from just how gosh darn cool that line is. ]

I'll be okay! Some little drops of rain isn't enough to get me down. [ It was practically a storm. ] I can't believe that happened, though. That rain just came outta no where!

[ It was more than a few drops, but he'll let Beatrix be her optimistic self about this anyway. ]

Heh... it did, didn't it? [ The looming clouds in the distance tell him that it'll be here for a while longer too. ] What do you say we make a run for it back to my place?

[ Thank you for not raining on her parade, Fai. Unlike this weather! ]

Yeah, that sounds like a great idea! Doesn't seem like the rain is going to let up anytime soon.

[ Once again, Beatrix lets out the longest, over-the-top dramatic sigh. This blows! Not only is her date with Fai ruined but she had also been looking forward to going to this cafe for a while.

It takes her a minute to get over her petulant pouting but once she's (semi) back to normal, she knew they had to focus on the task at hand. That being, arriving at Fai's house as safe as possible. He had already gotten wet thanks to her and the last thing she wanted to happen is for him to catch a cold. Suddenly, an idea springs up in her head. In what Beatrix would consider a 'genius' move, she takes off the light weight jacket she had been wearing, draping it over herself and Fai as makeshift umbrella. ]

Since we're going to your place, the least I could do is shield you from getting even more wet.

[ The fact that she takes off her jacket to help keep him shielded is a surprise, as he would have wanted her to keep it for herself, especially with their height difference. He doesn't mind, however, instead letting the warmth that he feels at her little gesture blossom in his chest as he smiles down at Beatrix. ]

I appreciate it, Bea. Are you ready to go?

[ Because he's going to take off running. In preparation for it, Fai helps hold onto her jacket so that it doesn't droop as they run. ]
